Studio Calico Sneaks for July!!
June 24th, 2009Here are my sneaks for July. My parents have been here all week, and I’ve just been CRAZY BUSY lately!!! I hope to get back to the art of blogging soon. Jon did add my micro blogging to the sidebar which I LOVE!!! I need to work on my header now though…I lost my old header in the move
Don’t forget the BIG NEWS from Studio Calico.
Studio Calico subscribers will now get an advanced opportunity to purchase new add-on kits each month. Beginning with July’s kit, subscribers will be able to purchase their add-ons and shop items 12 hours in advance of reveal (12:00 noon on the 27th). Some add-ons will also be held in reserve and posted for sale at 12:00am for the traditional reveal.
Happy National Scrapbook Day!

Happy May Day!!
May 1st, 2009The kids and I made may baskets and delivered them to the neighbors today. It was so much fun. The kids helped make the cards, and I made the baskets out of white paper bags, tied with a ribbon handle (actually its selvage edging cut off a huge roll of fabric – my friend Leah gave it to me!) I tied a ribbon around the middle and tied our cards on there. I made the cards with the Walk in My Garden cartridge and the cricut, and the kids decorated them.

My challenge to you is this:
There are so many “cutsie” animal papers out there now, and I love them all. Squirrels, Foxes, Fawns, Turtles, Elephants, the whole zoo, is taking over.
Show me what you can do with any of the cutsie animal papers or diecuts out there!
Post your layout at Studio Calico, and comment on this post with your link. The challenge will be over next Saturday night. I’ll randomly pick a winner Sunday morning. If you do more than one layout, post each link in a separate comment and you’ll be entered again!

So that’s me trying to be upbeat. I’m not feeling upbeat right now. I had some bad news this week. And man, I’ve really had a hard time bouncing back. Its silly really…with the economy and companies trying to save money and stay lucrative, etc. etc. etc. Provo Craft didn’t extend my contract for this year. I’ve had a lot of fun working for them for the past two years, but alas its the end of an era. It really shouldn’t be that big of a deal, right? But I can’t shake it. I’m not sure why I attach such strong emotions to stuff as silly as this, but I do. It makes me feel like an unworthy person. I mean I know in my HEAD that that’s not true and all, but it doesn’t reach my heart somehow. I am really really down about it. I guess its probably a combination of a lot of things…it usually is. I’ve been praying about it, and I know God always has something to teach me out of my experiences, and I’m trying to get over it so I can see with hindsight. But for right now, I’m wallowing a bit. Hopefully I can get over my pity party and get happy soon!!!
a few more sneaks!
February 24th, 2009I just couldn’t help myself….the March Studio Calico kit is SOOO lovely!! {Don’t forget that reveal is Friday night February 28th at MIDNIGHT EST}
